Timothy R. Placek, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems

Mr. Placek joined Spinal Modulation in 2009 and brings extensive Regulatory, Clinical and Quality Affairs experience from previous Class III medical-device companies including GE Medical, Orthofix and MicroMed Cardiovascular. Prior to joining Spinal Modulation, he served as VP of Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Systems at IDEV Technologies, Inc.

Among his achievements, Mr. Placek has successfully obtained U.S. and international product approvals and clearances, conducted IDE device trials, and developed ISO 13485-certified quality systems through successful quality team building.

Mr. Placek received an Electrical Engineering degree at South Dakota State University and BA degrees in Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of South Dakota.
